Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Comaneci was spotted by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was only six years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. Following that, she became champion. At her first international event, which was an preolympics junior event that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975 she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well with one silver. In 1976 she became the first female athlete in the world to use a backwards-double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the world of entertainment began in her teens when she began skating figure alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry as a teenager. When she was a child she was a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating with theatrical shows.
