Laura Linney was one of the most renowned American actors to emerge from the past. Her strong and vulnerable roles have made her a household brand. Her mother was an unmarried mother, who worked as a nursing assistant. Linney became interested with theatre in time spent in the summer by her famous father. Her studies in acting were through Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. Her career began on Broadway soon after graduation, she debuted on film in just two years. She also appeared on TV within a year. Her appearances have been in a variety of film, TV as well as stage productions ever since. She received many accolades over the course of her career which included four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. However, despite all the awards, her passion for the theatre isn't gone constant, as she still performs onscreen and onstage.
