Katherine Heigl has opened herself about her experience of being raised in the "white bubble" and how the revelation has affected the way she parents her adopted multiracial children. In an interview, she said recent interview that, with regards to the color of her skin, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just the way society views them. "I asked Meg what she thought about being treated differently when she went out with us parents than those who went out alone. Meg said, 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed the whole thing!' Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I caused me to feel." Heigl admitted she became angry and felt that it was important to focus her anger towards helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who they adopted in 2012.
