Jenna Fischer's most famous character is Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed TV show The Office. The actress won the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in the comedy's ensemble.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was younger, which instilled a love for theater and performing.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her home base. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. In Steve Martin's most recent play Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy featuring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey began an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling on the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life An Actor's Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey) In it, her story of moving between St. Louis to Hollywood as a professional actress is narrated.
